Flowers are fun, beautiful, and inspiring and you see that in her work. With the tape, make a 3-by-3 grid over the opening of the vase. Cut the hydrangea stems to about 6 to 8 inches long, and the viburnum to about 7 to 9 inches long. Place one white hydrangea in any of the grid spaces, angling the stem so it points toward the center of the vase. Take the other two white hydrangeas and place them so they are evenly spaced apart from each other, with their stems also angled toward the center.
This will make a round shape. Place a few stems of the tropical leaves evenly throughout the arrangement, in between the hydrangeas. If using roses, add them to the outer edge of the arrangement, angling the blooms out, with the stems pointing toward the center.

Many — or no — flowers can go in each space of the grid; it just depends where you want blooms and how many can fit in each space. I usually add thicker stems toward the center, because if the flower is too heavy, it can lean too far over the edge of the vase and fall out.
Although this arrangement is sensitive to heat and direct sunlight, you can make it a day ahead of time if you spray the petals with water each day and keep it in an air-conditioned room. Feel free to play with different color combinations, or use this technique for other thin stems like mini calla lilies, irises or ranunculus.
Run water over the rocks or shells to remove any debris, and place them in the bottom of the vase, about an inch high.
Prep the tulips, then divide the 2 bunches of tulips evenly into 3 separate piles, so that each pile has an equal mix of peach and yellow tulips. Spiral a mini bouquet for each of the 3 piles of tulips see note. Secure each bouquet with a ponytail holder, about halfway up the stems. Cut the stems to about 6 inches long. Place the first bunch of tulips vertically against the right side of the vase. You may have to cut the second and third bunch a bit shorter in order for the arrangement to be slightly slanted.
After the third bunch of tulips is in place, fill the empty space on the left side with the solidaster and place a few stems of solidaster in between the tulips.
Note: Spiraling is a technique used to create a handheld bouquet by overlapping and angling stems, one by one, in the same direction. Tip: Wrap drooping tulips in brown paper or newspaper, then place them in the fridge for a few hours so they perk back up. The cold will also cause the petals to close up again.
